The traditional suburban quarter-acre block has played an important role in keeping the death rate from COVID-19 relatively low in Australia.

That’s the impression of Professor Gary Geelhoed, executive director of the Western Australian Health Translation Network, who said the layout of the nation's suburbs is an advantage when trying to cut the rate of new infections.
