366 in Sydney hotel quarantine relocated to 'more suitable' hotel
NSW Police has transferred 366 people in hotel quarantine to new accommodation this afternoon, after finding one hotel did not meet expectations required of the quarantine program in a regular audit.
Police started to move all guests to "more suitable accommodation" this afternoon. The operation is expected to take 21 hours.
NSW will be taking no chances on hotel quarantine, after breaches of Victoria's program led to a second wave of infections. Last week it was reported that a Sydney security guard tested positive for the virus after catching it from a guest.
