Home building slowdown fuels Perth’s rocketing price rises

Home completions in Perth have declined for the second straight quarter, helping to fuel extraordinary price increases in the west, where growth in property values tripled that of Sydney last financial year.
Just 4200 homes were completed in Perth during the March quarter, almost 1500 lower than the number required to keep pace with surging migration, according to ABS figures released this week.
