Henry laments 'painfully slow' action on climate change

Former Treasury secretary and NAB chairman Ken Henry has hit out at "painfully slow" action on climate change, warning the growing risk of catastrophic bushfires threatens the loss of Australia's iconic wildlife.

Calling for more progress from governments and communities around the country, Dr Henry said last summer's deadly bushfires had increased awareness about the loss of animals and precious habitat, but the situation remained perilous.
