Half of Australians support an Indigenous Voice to federal parliament, boosting Labor’s chances of a successful referendum despite a majority wanting more information on how it will work, according to a new poll.
The Freshwater Strategy Poll, conducted exclusively for The Australian Financial Review, shows 50 per cent of respondents support the Voice proposal, while 26 per cent are opposed and 23 per cent remain undecided.
