Australians caught up in the robodebt debacle will share in more than $1.2 billion after the Morrison government settled a class action over the botched scheme on the day of trial.
Under the agreement, about 400,000 robodebt recipients will receive $112 million in compensation, including legal costs, in addition to the $720 million in payments the government agreed to refund earlier this year.
