FBI hits major ransomware operator

An alleged member of the ransomware group behind attacks on Toll Holdings and legal services firm Law In Order has been charged by US authorities as the group’s dark net website was seized by police.
The US Department of Justice said it had worked with global law enforcement agencies to disrupt the group known as NetWalker and had recovered about $US450,000 ($587,000) in crypto-currency payments from victims.
