The popularity of far right politicians like Pauline Hanson and Fraser Anning on social media benefited the Coalition's vote, particularly in Queensland.
A swing towards the Liberal National Party in the Sunshine State was crucial to Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s re-election, with the conservatives holding key marginal seats and gaining two seats, Longman and Herbert.
