Scott Morrison has warned a failed Voice to parliament proposal would be “crushing to the soul” of Indigenous Australians, blaming Labor for a reckless gamble with the Constitution over the planned advisory body.
Joining a lengthy parliamentary debate on Wednesday, the former prime minister said draft constitutional changes championed by Anthony Albanese were poorly constructed, warning they presented serious risk to the operation of the federal government.
