Every child, better outcomes, every year: schools plan goes to states
Australian schools would need to throw remedial support behind children who are struggling to keep up in literacy and numeracy and reverse truancy rates, under a new raft of targets proposed by the Albanese government.
Education Minister Jason Clare has told his state and territory counterparts he wants to see discernible improvements in all children’s academic performance in every year of their education, alongside measures that address mental health, family dysfunction and learning impairments.
