Federal Environment Minister Murray Watt has bowed to pressure and will visit Adelaide on Monday to witness firsthand the toxic algal bloom decimating South Australia’s marine life.
After weeks of pressure from scientists, Greens and state Liberals, Watt will fly to Adelaide on Monday after briefing his cabinet colleagues on the crisis. As recently as Friday Watt insisted the problem was a state issue.
