Dutton should be ‘comfortable and relaxed’ about flag stance

The opposition leader knows the better path to social cohesion in an increasingly diverse community is to find what Australians have in common.

Next year is starting to look a bit like 1996. At the federal election, a confident Liberal opposition leader will be up against a ragged and tired Labor prime minister and his government.

The Albanese government isn’t old in years, but it already feels old. In 1996, John Howard won 29 seats. Peter Dutton needs to win 18 for the Coalition to form government.
