Peter Dutton is promising a final decision on the expansion of the Woodside-run North West Shelf gas project within 30 days should he be elected, as Labor continues to defer a decision, possibly until after the federal election.
Campaigning in Western Australia, where the federal Liberal Party needs to claw back seats lost in 2022, Dutton said that although the decision would be made by the federal Environment Department, he expected it to be approved.
