Sydney Liberal David Coleman has emerged as the winner of Peter Dutton’s pre-election frontbench reshuffle, blocking deputy leader Sussan Ley in her bid to take on the shadow foreign affairs portfolio.

Mr Dutton announced his refreshed line-up on Saturday, elevating Mr Coleman to the portfolio vacated by outgoing South Australian moderate Simon Birmingham, while also promoting Melissa McIntosh and Julian Leeser.
