Peter Dutton’s personal ratings have fallen for a second successive month, expectations of Coalition victory have taken a sharp hit and its primary vote has slipped, suggesting Labor’s concerted attacks on the opposition leader are working.
The latest monthly The Australian Financial Review/Freshwater Strategy poll shows Dutton’s net approval rating lower than Anthony Albanese’s for the first time since May, and Albanese has taken back the lead as preferred prime minister for the first time since October.
