Double dissolution election threat ‘serious’: Labor
Labor will amp up pressure on the Greens with renewed threats of a double dissolution election over stalled housing legislation, as it prepares to reintroduce the plan into parliament next week.
The Greens last month pushed a vote on the government’s share equity Help to Buy plan until at least late November, rebuffing demands by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Housing Minister Clare O’Neil for hasty action to help up to 40,000 people buy their first property.
