‘Dangerous world’: AUKMIN talks call out Chinese coercion
UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron warned that Western allies needed to work together on “mutual security” to navigate a “dangerous and uncertain world”, as Australian and British ministers publicly slammed China for “destabilising behaviour” in the South China Sea and eroding human rights in Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong
In a joint statement issued after the annual AUKMIN talks, ministers cautioned China against aiding Russia in its war against Ukraine, and called on Beijing to use its influence to convince Moscow to end the conflict.
