Coronavirus will cause 'devastating' cultural recession
Arts institutions closing their doors and the suspension of live performances around Australia will deliver the most devastating cultural recession in generations, the federal government has been told.
As theatres, galleries, museums and event spaces shutter to slow the spread of coronavirus, Arts Minister Paul Fletcher held a virtual roundtable with cultural and creative sector organisation leaders to discuss the growing impact of COVID-19.
