Coalition stalls on stamping out terrorism-charity links
A plan to ban terrorists, terrorist supporters, money launderers and paedophiles from operating tax-exempt charities has been waiting for more than a year and a half for action by the federal government, despite its tough rhetoric on law and order.
Welfare expert Patrick McClure said he was "frustrated" the Coalition government hasn't acted on a blueprint to clean up the charities sector, which law intelligence agencies have warned is being used to finance terrorism.
