The Northern Territory government has imposed a two-week youth curfew in Alice Springs, following widespread unrest and violent crime in the top-end community,

NT Chief Minister Eva Lawler has declared an “emergency situation” in the central business district of Alice Springs, announcing a 6pm to 6am curfew and the deployment of 58 extra police officers from Wednesday night.
