Nearly two thirds of readers of The Australian Financial Review believe Treasurer Jim Chalmers bares some of the blame for the failure to bring inflation under control.

“The statutory role of the [Reserve Bank] in ensuring that inflation is kept under control is in conflict with the profligate spending of the Albanese Labor Government,” one reader said.
