Business will go to productivity summit with eyes wide open

After being burnt by the Jobs and Skills Summit in 2022, business will want more from Anthony Albanese’s August productivity jamboree.

Truth be told, the government doesn’t need a summit to tell it what to do on productivity.

The former Coalition government, under an initiative of Scott Morrison, commissioned at least two sizeable reports from the Productivity Commission as to the scope of the problem and what to do about it.
