CFMEU crackdown doesn’t go far enough

Business groups have united to demand an inquiry into the CFMEU’s alleged criminal activities and the return of a permanent independent regulator to prevent a relapse, arguing the Albanese government’s clean-up does not go far enough.

The government announced that the Fair Work Commission would ask the Federal Court to appoint an administrator to the union’s east coast state construction divisions, except the ACT.
