‘I apologise’: McKenzie reveals 16 free flight upgrades

Nationals senator Bridget McKenzie’s frontbench position is safe despite her failure to report 16 free business-class flight upgrades, which sparked calls from Labor for her to explain numerous breaches of parliamentary rules.

Coalition MPs said Opposition Leader Peter Dutton and Nationals leader David Littleproud were unlikely to sack Senator McKenzie because the move would spark leadership unrest with the junior Coalition partner.
