Border Force raised 'concerns' over Ruby Princess before arrival
Australian Border Force contacted the harbourmaster on duty the night the virus-ridden Ruby Princess docked in Circular Quay as it was worried about letting the boat dock, a special inquiry into the ship's disembarkation heard on Wednesday.
NSW Port Authority harbourmaster and port services manager Cameron Butchart said he was called by both the ABF and Department of Home Affairs on March 18 and 19 over "concerns with the situation".
