Boost to NT quarantine camp for stranded Aussies abroad
Capacity at Darwin's Howard Springs camp for quarantining returning Australians will be bolstered by several hundred, with the prospect of further increases amid a backlog of tens of thousands of people remaining stranded overseas.
The number of beds available will progressively increase to 850 a fortnight, up from 500, after an agreement between the federal and Northern Territory governments under which Canberra will foot the bill.
