BCA boss backs rival to Dutton’s pick for Liberal Senate spot
The head of Australia’s business lobby group has backed a rival candidate to Peter Dutton’s preferred pick for the vacant NSW Senate seat, calling on Liberal Party members to support political staffer Monica Tudehope in her bid to enter federal parliament.
Business Council of Australia chief executive Bran Black used a written reference to preselectors to praise the one-time adviser to former NSW premier Dominic Perrottet, including for her “inexhaustible work ethic” and policy nous.
