Corporate leaders say they were right to advocate for an Indigenous Voice to parliament and will not resile from publicly supporting causes with the potential to make the country better, despite Saturday’s thumping defeat.
After heavy criticism for the role played by big business in the campaign for Indigenous constitutional recognition, Wesfarmers managing director Rob Scott told The Australian Financial Review the company respected the decision by voters.
