Battle for the $2b government cloud market heats up

The battle over the lucrative, $2 billion government cloud market is stepping up, with Canberra Data Centres’ dominant grip on the federal government’s data centre spend set to be challenged by the launch of Macquarie Telecom’s $17 million “bunker” data centre.
CDC operates six data centres at Hume and Fyshwick in Canberra, as well as three large data centres at Eastern Creek in western Sydney.
