Australians are complacent about earthquakes and, with many cities sitting on fault lines, authorities should better prepare city buildings for catastrophic damage, say seismologists.
The warning comes amid cautions that the greater Melbourne region should expect further tremors beyond the aftershocks of Sunday night’s magnitude 3.8 quake.
