Aspiration for private health a test of Labor’s centrist credentials
The private health industry may be a bellwether regarding how well the government can retain its centrist reputation with the aspirational left.

Anthony Albanese outlined this in his opening speech, using phrases like “lifetime of opportunity” and “bringing people with us”, while taking jibes at some in his own Left faction when stating “this approach mightn’t suit those who prefer protest to progress”.
