AMP’s former head of advice, Anthony “Jack” Regan, has launched defamation proceedings against The Australian newspaper’s publisher over what he said were false allegations that he misled the corporate watchdog.
Mr Regan claimed the January article imputed he misled the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and admitted to misleading ASIC during the Hayne banking royal commission.
