Remember the Jobs and Skills Summit? In the first few months of his government, Anthony Albanese held a two-day love-in at Parliament House. There was no doubting it – consensus was in the air. In Albanese’s words, it was all about “bringing Australians together”.
Critics were quick to compare it to Kevin Rudd’s much-maligned “2020 Summit”.
