Anthony Albanese has congratulated new British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and pledged to work with his government on climate change, economic co-operation and the AUKUS submarines agreement.
The two leaders spoke on Saturday, a day after Labour’s victory in the general election, which delivered a historic drubbing for the Conservatives and outgoing leader Rishi Sunak.
