AAT lawyer accused of ‘vile language’ in tweets targeting conservatives
Labor appointed a partisan lawyer with a history of abusing conservatives on social media to one of the top jobs on the Administrative Review Tribunal (formerly the Administrative Appeals Tribunal or AAT), the Coalition has alleged.
At a Senate committee hearing on Tuesday, Liberal senator Michaelia Cash tabled a slew of tweets allegedly made by silk and new ART deputy president Clare Thompson, demanding that the Attorney-General’s department explain how her appointment was approved given the “repulsive” language.
