Small prices to pay for the privilege of playing golf

The coronavirus crisis limitations on golf are a small price to pay for the privilege of a four-hour walk with a friend. And it is exercise, after all.

There's a certain irony in the fact Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, arguably Australia's most golf-obsessed politician, stands alone as the only state leader to have banned the sport as part of the coronavirus crackdown.

Rumour is that Andrews, who plays off a handicap of nine, is hardly flavour of the month at his home course of Kingston Heath, let alone with the state's golfing community more broadly.
