A criminal trial has a brutal switch in tone that follows a guilty verdict. For more than two hours, Justice Elizabeth Fullerton had punctiliously addressed former NSW ministers Ian Macdonald and Eddie Obeid and his son Moses Obeid with the polite monikers of civil society.
