‘Legacy of fear’: government watchdog fires parting shot at Andrews
Victorian Ombudsman Deborah Glass has fired a parting shot at former premier Daniel Andrews and the Labor government, warning of the “dangerous impact of creeping politicisation” in the public service.
Ms Glass, who in December released a scathing report that found the Labor government briefed consulting firm PwC to “prove up” the $125 billion Suburban Rail Loop project and identified a “culture of fear” in the state bureaucracy, signed off on Monday with a 28-page report.
