Incoming Queensland premier David Crisafulli has already lobbied the prime minister to restore a greater funding share for major infrastructure projects and has invited the federal government to be more involved in planning the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.

The state’s first Liberal-National government in nearly a decade will introduce youth justice laws in the coming weeks as the premier-elect aims to follow through on his tough-on-crime election pitch.
