Chandler-Mather declines to own Greens flop in Queensland
Greens figurehead Max Chandler-Mather says he has no regrets about blocking Labor’s housing plan or protesting alongside rogue CFMEU delegates, after his party’s poor results in the Queensland election raised the prospect it could lose two of its three federal seats in his home state.
The Greens boasted before Saturday’s election it would easily hold its two state seats and was on track to win four more – but as of Monday, the party had secured just one electorate for the incumbent and was trailing in the other.
