The Chandler-Mather plan to take Queensland (and beyond)
The Greens hope to claim another four seats in the Queensland parliament, before transforming the nation’s political landscape.
Max Chandler-Mather was mocked when it came to light that the then-state strategist for the Greens in Queensland had, in 2018, mapped out a plan for the minor party to form federal government by 2040.
Nobody’s laughing now. While the Greens are nowhere near taking power in their own right, Chandler-Mather is a prominent federal MP, the party has Labor over a barrel on key policies including housing and the environment, and their reach at multiple levels of power has grown in just one election cycle.
