Brandis in London as Australian High Commissioner post sits empty

Australia’s former high commissioner to the UK, George Brandis, will attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in London as a private citizen rather than an official representative, even as his former diplomatic post remains empty.
Mr Brandis, who retired on April 30, has been invited by the Jubilee’s convenors to attend the official pageant, which marks 70 years since the Queen ascended to the throne.
