Banks and insurers need to be fair to flood victims: Scott Morrison

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has cautioned banks and insurance companies to deal fairly with flood victims in south-east Queensland and northern NSW.

As wild weather and flooding claimed its first victim in NSW, when a woman in her 80s was found dead in her flooded home in Lismore, the State Emergency Service late on Tuesday afternoon issued an evacuation notice for the town of Ballina, calling on residents to move to higher ground.
