Health authorities are ramping up calls for Australians to get all their COVID-19 jabs amid evidence unvaccinated people are clogging up intensive care wards and straining hospital systems.
Forty people died from the virus over the past 24 hours, including 20 in NSW, 13 in Victoria, three in Queensland, two in South Australia and two in the ACT.
