There’s just no pleasing some people. Sunday is set to bring the most significant steps yet to lift Melbourne’s COVID-19 gloom. It’s grand final weekend for both footy codes. And the Prime Minister says Christmas is back on.
So why pick Friday to stage the country’s biggest anti-lockdown protests? A couple of hundred people marched through Melbourne chanting “freedom!”, letting off smoke bombs and scuffling with police.
