Albanese, Perrottet unite to get flood money ‘out the door’

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has vowed to “get money out the door” to help flood-stricken communities recover, saying state and federal governments have learnt from mistakes in the Northern Rivers region, where funding delays brought residents to their knees.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese toured Sydney’s Hawkesbury-Nepean region on Wednesday with the premier as extra troops were deployed to handle the fallout from a damaging storm that was tracking north to the Hunter and Mid-North Coast.
