Australia’s 2025 election will be decided by an electorate that has become entitled to living in one of the world’s most affluent societies and resents that its living standards have been squeezed by the post-pandemic inflation breakout.

The frontline hip-pocket battleground between Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton includes tax cuts, household power bill subsidies, cheaper GP visits, lower pharmaceutical prices, cuts to petrol excise and probably more on housing prices and rents.
