As the Australian Turf Club rejected the $5 billion sale of Rosehill racecourse to create 25,000 homes, NSW Premier Chris Minns was already spruiking the existence of a Plan B the morning before and at a press conference right after.
Rejection had been on the cards for weeks, so Minns was prepared to promise that, instead of the mini-city, his Labor government would substitute “proposals that we’re getting ready to roll out for more housing closer to Sydney’s CBD”.
