PM plays along with Trump’s superannuation ‘deal’

Ignore the Donald Trump chutzpah – the funds of Australian superannuation members will not be commandeered and sent offshore to Make America Great Again.

In classic Donald Trump “art of the deal” chutzpah, the US president is taking credit for luring Australian superannuation funds to invest more than $US1 trillion ($1.5 trillion) extra in the United States over the next decade.

A White House fact sheet heralded Trump for clinching “Billion-Dollar Deals with Australia” on critical minerals, defence and superannuation.
