The ex-Labor candidate who spoke in favour of Bill Shorten's franking credit policy at a public hearing in Mount Martha will continue to receive the benefits of refunds  – because she has an industry superannuation fund.

Marg D’Arcy, who ran against Treasurer Josh Frydenberg in the affluent inner-city seat of Kooyong in 2006, said she was “uncomfortable” with tax minimisation tactics and called for the closure of as many “loopholes” as possible.
